Published in Paperback by General Pub Group (August, 1996)
Authors: Thomas Blood and Bruce Henderson
Average review score:

Educational
Do I recall incorrectly or were quotes from this book used in chicago at the democratic convention to re-elect Clinton? Regardless of your political offiliations or your personal feelings about this President,Clintons record is 'His record' and it's layed out for you about his first four years, in this book. This is a useful tool for our children and their schools. The report format makes the process and Clintons accomplishments easier to understand. This is also a useful tool for our new americans learning the process. Buy this and pass it on to a young person.

Stonewall Jackson and the American Civil War
Published in Paperback by DaCapo Press (May, 1988)
Author: G. F. R. Henderson
Average review score:

This is the book for any person who loves Stonewall!!!
I have been a fan of the American Civil War for over five years, and I have read many books on the subject and especially on Stonewall Jackson. I have never found a book more thorough about both subjects in my life. The author dives into several contravercies like: Why did the Civil War started, Did Stonewall fall asleep at the Seven day Battle? He also doesn't just stick to Stonewall, he also talks about other important figures in the Civil War. So if you are interested, kinda like, or a fanatic about Civil War and Stonewall Jackson like I am, I would recammend this book to every one!

Strategies for Winning Science Fair Projects
Published in Paperback by John Wiley & Sons (09 November, 2001)
Authors: Joyce Henderson and Heather Tomasello
Average review score:

Excellent Guide for Students Grades 6-12
This book takes students through the process of performing a science experiment from start to finish. It contains insider's tips from an international fair winner and a science fair judge and covers information I couldn't anywhere else -- like how to build a backboard or make graphs from data. It is also very read-able, not dry or boring like a textbook. I recommend it for students and parents of students who want to do well at the fair!

A Modern Day "We of the Never Never"!
I was lent a copy of this sequel to "From Strength to Strength" I couldn't put it down and now am struggling to get copies of it and the first book. Even jumping into the sequel without the introductory book, Sara's tales are mesmerizing, adventurous and well written!

Systems Engineering for Business Process Change: Collected Papers from the Epsrc Research Programme
Published in Hardcover by Springer Verlag (March, 2000)
Author: Peter Henderson
Average review score:

Addresses a narrow topic. Worthwhile to right audience
This is a collection of 20 papers that were developed under the auspices of the U.K.'s Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). Each paper is a report that is associated with a specific project, and each project shares two attributes: (1) legacy system focus, and (2) business process evolution, change or adaptation within the legacy environment.

If you are dealing (struggling) with adapting legacy systems to realities of changing business processes in your organization one or more of the papers are bound to be applicable. The topics of the twenty papers are:

(1) Business Processes, Legacy Systems and a Flexible Future, (2) Modelling the Co-Evolution of Business Processes and IT Systems, Complexity: Partial Support for BPR?, (3) FLEXX: Designing Software for Change through Evolvable Architectures, (4) RIPPLE: Retaining Integrity in Process Products over their Long-Term Evolution, (5) Understanding Change: Using the Patterns Paradigm in the Context of Business Domain Knowledge, (6) Combining Organizational and Technical Change in Finding Solutions to Legacy Systems, (7) Connecting Business Modelling to Requirements Engineering, (8) Interpretivist Modelling for Information System Definition, (9) Enterprise Resource Planning Systems: Impacts and Future Directions, (10) The Implications of Information Technology Infrastructure Capabilities for Business Process Change Success, (11) IT Support for the Very High Value Added Bid Pricing Process, Social Viewpoints on Legacy Systems, (12) Co-Evolution and an Enabling Infrastructure: A Solution to Legacy?, (13) Modelling Legacy Telecommunications: Switching Systems for Interaction Analysis, (14) Reverse Requirements Engineering: The AMBOLS Approach, Reconstruction of Legacy Systems for Evolutionary Change, (15) Handling Legacy IT in Banking by using Object Design Patterns to Separate Business and IT Issues, (16) Legacy System Anti-Patterns and a Pattern-Oriented Migration Response, (17) Assisting Requirements Recovery from Legacy Documents, (18) The Systematic Construction of Information Systems, (19) Its Not Just About Old Software: A Wider View of Legacy Systems, (20) Delivering Business Performance: Opportunities and Challenges for IT.

There is a wealth of knowledge, lessons learned and strategies buried between the covers of this book. Some of the papers are dryly written, but all contain thought-provoking ideas and, in some cases, solutions. This book is suited more for academics, upper technical management and consultants, and to that audience will prove to be a valuable resource.

Tattooed Tears (Indigo: Sensuous Love Stories)
Published in Paperback by Genesis Pr Ltd (August, 2002)
Author: Tanya T. Henderson
Average review score:

Broken Circle
Ms Henderson took the ingredients of life and wove them into a very moving story. The mixture of September 11th, death, faith, self-hate, love, unrequited love, fear, forgiveness, shame, and hope blended together took us on a roller coaster ride to Tattooed Tears.

Why would a mother turn her back on her own child? When drugs and pride are more important to the parent than the child, what is a child to do? These were the hard and fast choices and questions which Jake Masters and Shay Bennett had to make and answer alone and together.

Ms Henderson, left no no bases uncovered in this love story, she show not only love between a man and a woman, but the love of a mother to her son, the love of friends and last but not least the love of God.

A superbly written story, I found myself with a gambit of emotions from anger to tears. Tattooed Tears is a quick, easy read for all romantics. As I reflect back to Passions, my first read by Ms Henderson, I can only say "You Go Girl"...

Theater in America: 250 Years of Plays, Players, and Productions
Published in Hardcover by Harry N Abrams (June, 1900)
Author: Mary C. Henderson
Average review score:

There are theatre history books and then...there is THIS!
There are all kinds of theatre history books out there, and then...there is Theater In America: 250 Years of Plays, Players, and Productions, by Dr. Mary C. Henderson. This book is awesome. And definitely a must for ANYone dedicated to or in love with theatre...especially the history of American Theatre history. Our theatre expresses everything we are. Just in the short amount of time we have been a country, we have generated a wealth of theatre history, to be found within the pages of this lavish book. It is HUGE...352 pages of wonderful photographs and very interesting text. Dr. Henderson doesn't just take us from the early days of our country's theatre history to the present in one swoop...no, the wealth of material is divided up into sections, each focusing on an important aspect of theatre history. The first section is devoted to Producers, followed by Playwrights, Directors and Choreographers, Actors, Designers-a section devoted to Scenery, Costumes, and Lighting, then Architects, and Beyond Broadway-which looks at Off-Broadway and theatre companies across America. The final section is a concise Chronology that takes us from 1750 to 1990, listing well-known producers, playwrights, designers, actors, and architects. The amount of research that had to go into this is incredible. What I have enjoyed most are all the amusing anecdotes about the colorful people who make up our theatre history...and do we ever have some colorful people in American Theatre history! I strongly recommend this fine book, not only for theatre lovers or history lovers, but for lovers of lavish coffee table books too...Theater In America delivers.

Three Plays by Aristophanes: Staging Women (New Classical Canon)
Published in Hardcover by Routledge (September, 1996)
Authors: Aristophanes and Jeffrey Henderson
Average review score:

Can You Say That?
Let me start by saying that this book has the best translations of Aristophanes that I've ever read. Henderson's translations contain really obscene language. That is not to say that I only liked it for the swears. The flow of the play with this obscenity is like the flow of a modern comedy. Why should something as great as a classical play be subject to censorship? Thanks to Henderson and his translation, we now know exactly what the Athenians saw when they watched Aristophanes.
